Comments: All
of the above information is verified with written documentation.
This particular MiG, tail number, Red 117, is actually found on page
46 of the Squadron Signal book "Mig-15 in Action".
The
aircraft has always been hangared at Arnold Palmer Airport in
Latrobe, Pennsylvania until recently flown to Reno (where it is now
hangared). This MiG was showcased and flown at the 2001 Latrobe Air
Show held at the Arnold Palmer Airport in Latrobe.
This is by far the nicest
two seat MiG-15 flying in the country. New panel, sharp
paint. The owner will work out details with the buyer for a fresh
annual. The decision to fly the MiG to Reno was two-fold - Classic
Jets has maintained the fighter and knows the plane inside and out
plus they have 2 of only 4 certified pilots in the U.S. to give you
a check ride in a MiG! So, it was worth the cost to move it from
Pennsylvania and keep it in Reno. the owner will consider possible
trades toward a clean, flying T-28 or UH1 Huey.
Call me
now to discuss this plane.
