Comments: Unlike
the Grumman AA1A or AA1B and later Grumman models, this is not a
good trainer for beginning pilots. The hot handling
characteristics and wing design of the 1969 AA1, (faster than later
models, and more apt to go into a spin) this plane is not
recommended for student or low-time pilots, and insurance companies
generally require good experience before covering the pilot. But, it
is a "fighter plane at a trainer price", and sought-after
by experienced pilots looking for fun flying.
The 81 year
old owner has owned this plane for 11 years, but now he is concerned
about his medical, and has decided to sell. Call me now to discuss
this plane.
