While Roosevelt was campaigning in Wisconsin in 1912, he was shot by a saloonkeeper named John Schrank. The bullet lodged in his chest after penetrating his steel eyeglass case and a folded copy of his 50 page speech.

$15,000 Engine Overhaul!
Comments:
This Grumman Lynx has extremely low-time, possibly the lowest-time Lynx in the country. The present owner is a doctor in Minneapolis who bought the plane from the second owner in New Hampshire two years ago for $31,000. That owner had just recently spent $11,000 on the panel, making it an IFR Certified flyer. Recently, the present owner's mechanic recommended that the 30 year old engine be overhauled, and he took it to Bolduc Aviation in Anoka, Minnesota to have that done.

Bolduc is one of those names on that very short list of engine rebuilders that everyone in the business knows. They really have an excellent reputation. The crank did not need to be replaced, so it wasn't, and the overhaul was written as a " Top Overhaul with Bottom Repairs " and cost $15,000. Having the crank replaced was unnecessary, and would have increased the total cost to $21,000. With an engine TBO of 2400, you'll be flying for years.

When you have an engine like this overhauled by almost any other shop I can think of, including Lycoming itself, the warranty is all the hours you can fly in one year. Bolduc is warranting this engine for 30 months.

Why is the owner selling? He's moving into a 4-place airplane and is buying it from me. Call me now to discuss this incredible plane.
