I can hand you a qualified buyer.
Get a fair price for
your airplane. |
|
Buyers who advertise "cash at your hangar" often pay only 70%
to 75% of Blue Book Value. Let me help you get a fair price for your plane.
I will find and hand you a qualified buyer, and help close the sale. Please
call me for a quotation on selling your plane.
It is just as much
work to sell an inexpensive plane, like a Cessna 150, so I do have a $900
minimum commission.
In addition to our regular brokerage services, I can
sell your plane using an Auction. Unlike some other auction services
available on the internet, I do not charge any up-front fees, and earn my
commission at closing. I do ask for an exclusive listing during the time the
plane is being auctioned, and this protects the buyer, who expects a plane when
the auction ends. ( See Auctions
)
I provide assistance to the buyer, as needed, but rely on you to
help me complete the transaction. When I can hand you a buyer for your
airplane, and it was someone who probably wouldn't have found you or your plane
without me, I think you'll agree that my fee was money well-spent. And, if I
don't find a buyer at a price you'll accept, my services cost you nothing.
I pre-qualify buyers, so "tire-kickers" do
not waste your time. I am always willing to visit with
prospective buyers and give basic information about the plane. But, when I am
asked for more photos, copies of logbooks, or they want to talk to the owner or
mechanic, I will qualify the buyer before going further.
If the
prospect is not a recognized dealer, someone I know, or feel certain they are
genuinely interested, I may ask for a refundable referral fee, equivalent to
what you will pay me, before placing them in contact with you. This usually
separates true buyers from those only mildly interested.
|
If you are a dealer, I can
flip you a buyer. |
|
Please call me at to list your aircraft on my web site. I can hand
you a buyer for just a referral fee. This is great exposure for your aircraft,
and if you sell the plane to someone who did not come from me, my services costs
you nothing. |
Yes, you can continue to
sell the plane yourself. |
|
All I ask is that we both ask the same price for the plane, and you
notify me promptly when you have a buyer, so I can stop selling it. If the
buyer comes to you from my efforts, I've earned my fee. |
What else do you get for
your money? |
|
The indirect benefit of the services we provide the buyer. |
What do we do for the
Buyer? |
|
The most obvious service we perform is to put the buyer and seller
together. While some think it a simple procedure, those in aircraft sales know
otherwise. We earn our entire fee when we do that. But, in addition, and when
needed, we help buyers in a number of ways:
- Coordinate a Pre-Purchase Inspection
- Help Line-up Financing
- Put them in touch with an Insurance Agent
- If a lender is not involved, get a Lien Search
- Title Company Services, as needed
- Arrange for a Ferry Pilot
- Coordinate the Transfer of Funds
In most cases, once we put the buyer and seller together, especially if the
seller is a dealer or broker, our job is done. But, we are very willing to do
whatever it takes to get the transaction completed. |
Am I qualified to sell
your plane? |
|
I sure hope so, after 35 years in the banking business, where aircraft
lending, including dealer floor plan, was a big part of my lending career. I've
been involved in the sale of aircraft on the Net since 1996, and maintain web
sites for other dealers, in addition to my own.
My
reputation is good, and I will be glad to give you references, both individual
sellers and dealers we work with, and buyers I've helped find the right plane. |
Let's get started !
|
|
Give me a call and tell me about your plane. I can fax you a spec
sheet if you don't have one, and you can e-mail or snail-mail me photos. Or, if
the plane is presently being shown elsewhere on the Net, let me know where and I
can grab the information.
Pricing is very important. If you want
substantially higher than the market value of the plane, I may not be able to
help you. Buyers just don't pay for sentimental value. But,
planes that are well-maintained, with mid-time or better engines, no damage
history, complete logs, and show pride of ownership, sell much more quickly and
at better prices than planes that are not.
If you are
basing your estimate of value on ads you see on the Internet or in
Trade-A-Plane, remember that those are the ASKING prices, not
necessarily what they will wind-up selling for. I have access to Blue Book and
other pricing information, and know what a lot of planes actually sold for, and
I'll be glad to give you some help in determining an asking price.
There
are psychological pricing barriers to think about. Believe it or not, a plane
priced at $59,900 will sell more quickly than the same plane at $60,000. That's
why the gas companies still add that "9/10ths" on the end, rather than
just round-up to the next penny.
Note: Some of the planes on our web site are referral
listings from other dealers or sellers, subject to separately negotiated or
agreed-upon compensation programs. |
